CBG transformation in the body leads to the formation of cyclo-CBG which is bioactive. Paper in collaboration with Sarlah Lab pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac…

The phytocannabinoid CBG is increasing in popularity and public use, but its metabolism by human cytochrome P450s is largely unknown. Roy et al University of Illinois Georgia Tech UC San Francisco show cyclo-CBG is the major metabolite and has biological activity of its own. pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac…

A story of A-man to get the prestigious SNSF Postdoctoral Fellowship (Swiss National Science Foundation) to pursue postdoctoral research at the Copéret Group / @coperetgroup.bsky.social at ETH Zurich Thanks #eugrantaccess for helping and guidng me throughout the process and making the story. science-stories.ch/sk/

Cannabichromene (CBC) is a major non-psychotropic phytocannabinoid that activates TRPA1. CBC is metabolized by human P450s to form bioactive metabolites. Collaboration with Tajkhorshid, Hellman lab and Sarlah Lab .Congratulations to Dr. Pritam Roy and Jonathan Maturano !!
