This new report showed mixed progress in cancer prevention and early detection during the first 2 years of the COVID-19 pandemic, including improvements for some major risk factors and screenings.

While the new ACS Cancer Prevention & Early Detection report noted improvements in some major risk factors & screenings during the first 2 two years of the pandemic, other outcomes trended negatively.

This new reported noted a persistence in disparities during the first 2 years of the pandemic, indicating that individuals from racially/ethnically diverse groups and socioeconomic positions continue to be greatly affected by cancer.
