What a fantastic week this has been! Our first week back at GEMS DAA, we focused on well-being and fostering strong relationships within our classes and school community. Kudos to the staff for building an outstanding foundation. Shout out to Felipe Sanchez for his GQ pic!

Redefining what we ask students to do in classrooms today is foundational in the shift that is needed to help them succeed tomorrow.

What are your school’s top priorities? Spend your time, energy, and money on those few high leverage things and do it well. If everything is a priority, then nothing is a priority!

It’s great that this is now the thinking: helping kids persevere through challenging tasks rather than giving “extra credit”

Student-led conferences can be a powerful thing. Prep your students so they have structure and talking points to guide them. Parents have limited face time with the teacher, so they need to see the power of student reflection and goal setting at work!
