I remain confused about the higher expectations of children & young people than of adults. I've led change with a group of adults, it comes with a range of feelings & expectations, expressed through behaviours. But children are often expected to adjust & suppress their feelings.

At #CloseCommunity I was speaking with a couple of ppl abt respecting children when they don't want to engage with mindfulness sessions. A few years ago I had a P4 who chose to read a book instead of taking part. He said he wasn't interested. Look what happened..choice matters

Leaving the funeral of a friend today, my friend Suzzanne remarked, “it was 25yrs ago we went to the first funeral of a friend lost to drugs, it happens so often now!” I walked in silence for a bit, contemplating the enormity of the grief and loss among our friends!
