For the Fetch SOEF visualiser tool, I just reduced a 13.8MB JSON file of world city locations (128K+ of them) down to a 2.8MB binary. We waste memory like it’s free. It’s not. The entire JSON->binary conversion takes a few seconds. “stringly typed” is not a positive trend. $FET
