Dinah turned her head, lips brushing over Helena's shoulder. Her cheeks flushed, hand squeezing Helena's. “'Lena,” whispered.

Her gaze flickered up to Helena's, a wave of emotions flashing in her eyes. “'Lena,” she said softly.

Dinah smiled apologetically. “I thought you were—” the Canary threw herself into the woman's arms, hugging her tightly.

Dinah pulled back and sighed, an apologetic smile on her face. “Are you okay?”

The Canary has never seen a more beautiful sight, the way the moon reflect in the Huntress' eyes. Dinah swallows, her gaze flickering to the woman's lips briefly.

The Black Canary saw the flicker in Helena's eyes. Oh— she wanted this too... Dinah's hand rose to cup the Huntress' cheek as she ever so slowly closed the remaining space between and her lips softly brushed over Helena's.

Her eyes fluttered shut, heart beating furiously in her chest. Dinah's gaze found Helena's, their lips a whisper apart. “This okay?” her voice trembled.

Dinah frowned. “I...I was in pit....” she mumbled, leaving out it was the lazarus pit.

Dinah exhaled softly and closed the gap between them once more, lips brushing over Helena's with a little more confidence.

⠀      “That last encounter with the joker didn't end as planned...”

Dinah kissed her softly, hand cradling her cheek. Oh, kissing the Huntress felt like breathing.

Dinah's eyes remained closed, letting herself get lost in the moment, in the warmth that was Helena. She brushed her nose along Helena's and smiled.

Dinah answered Helena with another kiss, fingers tangling in dark locks. “How long have you wanted to do this?” she chuckled softly.

Dinah caressed her cheek, gently tipped her chin up to meet Helena's gaze once more. “Hey, I'm not going anywhere, 'Lena. I...was afraid of ruining things too,” she admitted after a moment.

Her thumb traced along Helena's cheek, a small blush on her cheeks at the admission. “I've never been afraid of losing anyone, 'Lena. Not until you.”

Dinah nodded, a small smile on her lips. Her temple rested on Helena's, eyes fluttering shut for brief moment. “Partners,” she whispered.

Dinah felt her heart flutter, the words making her heart melt. She brushed her lips against Helena's once more. “I love you, 'Lena.”

Dinah melted into the kiss, smiled against Helena's lips. She couldn't believe she was really kissing her best friend. Her heart felt so full.
