🚨 Please Note 🚨 The beach is CLOSED for kiteboarding/windsurfing from May 1st - June 10th (opens on June 11th) annually. This is in an effort to avoid disturbance to migrating shorebirds, who use our beach to feed and rest during their journey North.

Planning to visit Presqu'ile this weekend for a hike? Please note that many of our trails are wet, muddy and flooded in sections due to spring rains. But the Marsh Boardwalk Trail and Jobes' Woods Trail are great options for those visitors who don't want wet feet!

Did you know, today is #WorldBikeDay 😄 🚲 Understand and obey traffic laws and signals, just like a car. 🚲 Bicycles are not allowed on walking trails but can be used along the bike paths along the main road, day use loop and campground roads.

Water taps are available at parks to provide water for use during your trip. Please do not use them to: 💧 Fill your trailer with water 💧 wash your dishes 💧 bathe yourself Once finished, please ensure you turn the taps off to conserve water! blog.ontarioparks.ca/water-taps/

Is your campsite Raccoon safe? Raccoons will be attracted by: 🦝 strong food/hygiene product aromas (aka toothpaste or perfume) 🦝 the scent of garbage 🦝 cooking smells All wildlife attractants are best stored in the trunk of your vehicle with its windows closed.

Is that Giant Hogweed? At this time of year, we get many questions about a plant growing around the park. Fear not! This plant is actually a native species to Ontario called Common Cow Parsnip. Cow Parsnip can cause skin reactions, so remember to look but not touch!

Nine habitats on one almost-an-island! We think Presqu'ile is the best because of the diversity of habitats found here. From the forest to the marsh there is something for everyone to explore! #DiscoverOP

Is it snowing in June? ❄️ You may have noticed that the park is looking like it's been lightly dusted with snow or what looks like snow flakes floating in the sky. Thankfully it's not snow in June, but just the annual flurry of Cottonwood seeds.
