Woodford County strikes again on a long 76-yard completion from Wertzler to Omari Jointer, putting the Yellow Jackets on top of Pulaski 14-0 with 8:02 left in the first quarter. Maroons desperately need a score.

As soon as I sent that last update, Pulaski’s Kasen Brock took it 57 yards for a score on the ground. Woodford leads the Maroons 14-7 with 7:47 left.

End of the first: It was a high scoring first few minutes in the quarter, but both teams couldn’t score on their next respective drive. Pulaski trails Woodford County 14-7 heading into the second, Yellow Jackets have the ball.

PC takes about 4 minute on their opening drive of the second half, with Harris Denmyer taking a ball away from a defender in the corner of the end zone for a 26-yard score. Woodford leads the Maroons 21-14 with 8:01 left in the quarter.

Pulaski chewed out a large portion of the third with a solid rushing attack, however a costly fumble gives Woodford County the ball back, and they are near the red zone to start the fourth. Woodford on top 21-14.

7-yard QB keeper from Wertzler gives Woodford County a two-touchdown lead in the fourth. Maroons must rally as they are now down 28-14 with 10:47 left in the game.

21-yard field goal by Logan Ford is good, and the Woodford County lead grows to 31-14 with 5:12 left in the ball game. Gonna take a miracle for the Maroons to win here.

One-yard rush from Brock plus a successful two-point conversion from Brock trims the Woodford County lead down to 31-22 with 4:09 left in the game.

Woodford County holds on for the win, as they down Pulaski County 31-22. Maroons move to 2-2 with the loss.

In addition to the crosstown soccer match between Somerset and Pulaski tonight, I will also be at Pulaski for their volleyball senior night! Will not be a full game story for the volleyball game, but hope to have a photo gallery up after for it!
