I present to you another flash from our WEIRD HORROR issue. A gutting story of racism and justice. You can't escape evil but also the consequences. They will follow you like the smell-sound of vinegar-gurgle. By andrewkhoe 何光平 (he/him) In Flash Fiction Online flashfictiononline.com/article/vinega…

This is such a fascinating story of conflicting viewpoints, of faith and science. Of what is know and well-studied, and what remains unknown still, letting a hope for something bigger slip into the hearts of humanity. by Team Two Dogs (@lchanwrites on Mastodon/Bluesky) in clarkesworld clarkesworldmagazine.com/chan_12_24/

Nebula Award nominations are open now until Feb 28th! I’d love if you considered my novelette, “Another Girl Under the Iron Bell” in Uncanny Magazine, so here’s a thread of all the little inspirations behind it (warning: spoilers ahead!): uncannymagazine.com/article/anothe…

Catching up on 2024 short fic and had to start with Angela Liu in Uncanny. Another Girl Under the Iron Bell is a darkly romantic novelette about a demon forced to be an assassin. Lovely, sharp, atmospheric prose as always from Angela.

Friends! "Some to Cradle, Some to Eat" out now in Lightspeed Mag (Bluesky: @lightspeedmagazine.com)! It's a retelling of "Little Thumb" and a teenage ogre Sapphic romance (this is a sentence I wrote). Two girls save each other from some bad parenting. lightspeedmagazine.com/fiction/some-t…
