ePBS Breakout room #7 notes. hackmd.io/@potuz/ByZVEya… We signaled a move to slot auctions early rather than block auctions to prevent the free DA problem of an invalid block committing its blockhash. Mitigations involve unnecessary complexity. SA are also simpler to implement

Hey X I definitely don't like an "upgrade" button where my conveniently unique Ethereum R&D" list was... I hit it 3 times in the last 5 minutes

I don't buy this take. The protocol for fraud proofs is complicated. The code needn't be. Validity proofs otoh are complicated and bug prone throughout the whole stack. Anyone that ever published a math article would say so about the R and anyone that ever coded would about the D.

It's much worse, an entity with 30% can delay 10 seconds, not 0.8: no client will reorg a block if the parent wasn't voted by 80% of the committee

A controversial take: if you hold 30% of the stake you have 84% chances of having a participating validator on every slot with five proposers. This is the only reasons why VCs funding preconfs are also pushing for MCP

Seems like these meetings get much more done when I'm not there. I've been told that Teku might beat Prysm Ethereum Client to a devnet. Ongoing work from Nimbus and Lodestar (and I think Mark (ethDreamer.eth) 🦇🔊 told me they'll start in Sigma Prime's Lighthouse).

i believe ePBS is crucial to democratize the block building and should be top priority for ETH alongside peerDAS (which already is) by the way slot auctions look so juicy 🧃🧃🧃

This has absolutely nothing to do with L1 activity at all. For once there's one topic I agree with Max Resnick and so should rollups. Finding price in gas fee is much better than finding price in priority fee.

Are you guys also posting that the supreme court unanimously upheld Moraes ruling or do you want to keep spinning it as a "lone man's work"?

Bankless The insinuation that "a core dev team that works at one L2" and "another guy that worked on 4844 that works on another optimistic L2" have "captured" the Ethereum roadmap is a self-serving falsehood. (This is disgusting by the way, both of these groups have the highest integrity
