Kudos to PostHog on naming their plans 'Totally free' and 'Ridiculously cheap' - though the latter should be called 'Basically free' since it gives you so much and you're unlikely to spend a dime till you hit scale 💯

golden rules of communicating at a remote startup:

- use asynchronous communication whenever possible. pull requests, issues, public posts.
- if you need a response urgently, message someone with a link to the issue, and ask them to respond there.

the best ways to progress your career:

- understand your team and your company’s objectives, then:
- ship fast towards these
- give and receive direct feedback to help yourself and others do the same
fix problems when you see them - early objectives are often wrong

We realized that only ~55% of people who signed up would start a game. So we tightened up our onboarding flow this weekend and immediately saw this jump to 76.6%. Thanks PostHog for making this easy to track!

48% of the current yc batch use us. it's not the 110% i have tasked our marketing team with though, so i'm pretty upset with them.

ideas are fragile.

if we default to providing negative criticism of new ideas, they’ll simply stop coming.

instead, default to “yes and” rather than “no, but”, before rejecting an idea.
