Politics aside, as a scientist, it's interesting that you can effectively mislead, while never telling one word of a lie. Its one of the reasons why scientific papers are reviewed by other scientists before publication. Never take something at face value

This, definitely this. Scientists rarely seeking controversy, but rather open debate using data. Wealth of false, misleading or mis used data, leads to abuse following even most banal post. No wonder it's wrong stuff on internet, when many would rather not put head above parapet

I remember being interviewed on various news channels, when the second case was published. Same question then, is this the cure for HIV. Sadly NO, but while the technique used carries too high a risk for it to be a treatment, it does give great hope bbc.co.uk/news/health-60…

8 years ago, unbeknown to me, I was in ICU, intubated, fighting Sepsis. I am one of the lucky ones, I have recovered physically, and have been able to go on and become a nurse and work for NHS Ayrshire & Arran. Others haven't been so lucky. Just think could it be sepsis Dr. Ron Daniels BEM

Some reliable information, from a reputable journal and accurately portrayed in a general public accessible article. Great to see

Disturbing news that such a devastating condition is still not being handled properly. It nearly killed me in 2016 and I would hope that it would be killing less people in 2023. #sepsis #uksepsis BBC News - Sepsis failings still causing too many deaths bbc.co.uk/news/health-67…

This is a very significant policy by the BMA. Without commenting on whether it's right or wrong, the UK is training a lot of PAs and they are an important part of the new NHS staffing plan bma.org.uk/bma-media-cent…

No matter which side you sit on, as Anna mentions showing your working is important. People can only debate these numbers properly when there is transparency. That of course counts for both sides in the debate
