During D-Day, Peter Van Zeller was shot in the arm by a sniper while advancing and lost his arm.

During D-Day, Kenneth landed on the beaches of Normandy.

'A shell came in. My foot was hanging by bits of skin. At the hospital, they amputated. I was more worried about losing my girlfriend than my leg.'

Ken and Vera celebrated 75 years of marriage. He passed away at 99.

Paul served for 22 years in the Royal Corps of Transport.

He was injured in a car bomb explosion in Northern Ireland.

Thanks to Blesma's activity programme, Paul was able to hit the slopes once again after a 15-year absence.
