We didn’t harvest much Pinot from Popelouchum yesterday (the wood rats got a lot of it). But, quality looks amazing. With my great luck, it will turn out great and my Pinot obsession will be reactivated.

We doon't just limit ourselves to grapes Popelouchum. We grow some of the very rare pêche de vigne. If we can harvest it before the coyotes get to it, it produces rather magnificent jam.

This is another extraordinary product that comes from Popelouchum. A sort of hybrid Tuscan/Ligurian style.

Robert Kowal We made 15 gallons of Pinot Noir from Popelouchum this year. Hoping it will give the Temperance Hill a run for its money. (Temperance Hill certainly the greatest Pinot fruit I ever had a chance to work with.)

I've been privileged to work w/ ungrafted vines at the original Estate vyd. in Bonny Doon, and now in large part Popelouchum. They do establish themselves more rapidly than grafted vines, and tend to be more vigorous. Can't yet speak to terroir expression.
