Our provincial government has little concern for the real future of Albertans. While consistently giving away our natural resources by forgiving tax fraud while enforcing austerity on a generation who had nothing to do with the poor financial management that got us here.

The AHS people survey released yesterday was shared with us. 42nd and 46th percentile for β€œmy boss cares about me” and β€œsomeone encourages me to grow”. Not great. #ableg #abhealth

Protect Our Province Alberta And I was told just this week that many are not allowed to order pens (again), so are now being expected (again) to provide their own pens for any work that still needs to be done on paper. Not funding for population growth and inflation is a cut- these are the results! #ableg

This story is absolutely bonkers. Basically a guy gets discharged from hospital to long term care, but that LTC is a hotel that some private LTC group rented out a bunch of rooms from. Healthcare under the UCP… #abpoli #ableg #cdnpoli cbc.ca/news/canada/ed…

Not at all sure what to make of this. A short thread (mostly to clarify my own thoughts). First, lets be clear - Mental Health IS Health. In practice you cannot completely hive this off and do it separately. /1 cbc.ca/news/canada/ca…

For anyone who needs to hear it: Asymptomatic transmission of covid has been well established. It's also airborne. And causes long-covid / post covid conditions in lots of people. Without a change to our strategy, disability, misery, and economic harm will continue to rise.

To all the fabulous nurses I work with: thank you. Thank you for your dedication, for knowing what is going on with our patients, for anticipating their needs, for great communication and collaboration, and for your friendship. Thank you. :) #HappyNursesWeek !!

I had forgotten this. Not just best in Canada, AHS, was one of the top 5 in the WORLD! This was not ranked by amateurs or home schooled know-it-alls, but by professionals. AHS was world leading - and it is now being torn apart by barbarians. We should be ashamed.

This is the real history of AHS. DO NOT believe those who claim it was intended for hospital care only. una.ca/1535/una-expre…

This week's acute care outbreaks at AHS in Alberta. Not sure what to say anymore. Obviously, they have no interest in stopping preventable hospital-acquired infections. Someone explain to me why. source: albertahealthservices.ca/assets/info/pp…

Vaccines are safe. Children are not dying due to vaccines. They’re in fact keeping us alive. Healthcare workers are not pedophiles. We can’t believe we’re here - we don’t want to be here but Alberta Government is straight up lying to you. #ableg #abpoli #abhealth

Discussions about the Great Barrington Declaration tend to take place in the condition tense- what would and could have happened. But it existed. And in the real world it failed. Episode 32. podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/we-…

When I left work today, 30% of our acute care beds were being used by admitted GIM patients who did not have space to move upstairs. Let that sink in. 30% of ER beds were unusable for patients who require care from the waiting room. #abhealth #ableg cc AndrΓ© Picard

Doctors provide the best patient care in safe environments. The overcapacity of our acute care system is detrimental not only to our overburdened docs, but also to the patients who require complex care that is no longer available.
