Not sure I have seen an EIP with as much supporting work since then.

Today, we are excited to open source Reth Alphanet.

Reth AlphaNet is an OP Stack-compatible testnet rollup that maximizes Reth performance and enables experimentation of bleeding edge Ethereum Research.

My regular push to remind the community that ePBS is both doable and a most needed bug fix. The full design notes for a proposed implementation is hackmd.io/@potuz/rJ9GCnT… the Python spec PR is linked there. Call your local core dev and ask them to look into this.
