As someone of Phœnecian (sic) descent and by the Holy Trinity and the LORD God of Israel’s grace (ever One and the One-and-the-Same-God) an episcopal Augustinian-Calvinist in the Anglican away, I find that it should be noted that St. Augustine was Punic. Thus, he was Phœnecian.

1. In my series of quoted tweets, I am agreeing with Jon & attempting to highlight the error of insisting that Gen. 9:25 has universally negative implications forever. The Syrophoenician woman & St. Augustine are examples. 2. “Anglican away” should be “Anglican Way.”

“Jolly Ollie,” as the good folks behind Horrible Histories jokingly called him in their Magna Carta song, could have been something of an Ian Paisley if he restored the CoE as an established and comprehensive church. Recall that he had Archbishop James Ussher buried with the BCP.
