Today, apparently ten people were unsuccessful in attempting to illegally enter the UK. The establishment and media can console themselves in the knowledge that many tens of thousands have succeeded so far this year.

If someone posts "burn down the mosque" on Facebook, as apparently some woman did and got life imprisonment, why is this held to be the driving force for something that actually doesn't even happen? And even if it DID happen, why is my comment somehow the causal factor?
