DC Sam Sillitoe has been instrumental in the RCIPS achieving 20 out of 27 homicide detections over the last 8 years. Last year she was awarded CIG Employee of the Month, and was in the running for the CIG 2024 Employee of the Year Awards, which she attended last night.

Police, with the AirOps Unit, and the CICG , have been responding to reports of washed up crocus bags, with what appears to be packages of ganja inside, along the coast of Grand Cayman. All packages located will be destroyed once forensically examined.

The RCIPS continues to receive a number of reports of persons falling victim to a scam involving rental properties advertised on social media and websites, including EcayTrade. Anyone with information regarding these or other financial scams is encouraged to contact 949-4222.
