At approximately 0730hrs today officers from Sudbury have attended a road traffic collision where the driver of the vehicle has been arrested for drink driving. The driver remains in our custody for questioning.

On 10 February officers stopped a vehicle in #Sudbury at Shawlands retail park due to a defective headlight. A roadside drugs wipe was also conducted that tested positive. The driver was arrested, taken to custody & released under investigation pending further results #684

Emergency services are currently at the scene of a collision on Rodbridge Corner on the B1064 in Long Melford. There is a full road closure in place from the B1064 junction with Borley Road to the junction with the A134. Motorists are advised to find alternative routes.

A 71-year-old sex offender from Carlton Colville, who failed to return to court during his trial, has been given a 10 year sentence. Offences included 3 counts of indecent assault on three girls, aged between 4 and 11 years old, in the 1980s-2000s. orlo.uk/fiVgs

Appeal after two bikes were stolen from a footpath at rear of B&M, Sudbury, on 6 July between 3.40pm and 4pm. A White Raymon Trailray 160 E Bike and a Satin Black Trek Top Fuel 9.8 XT were locked to railings. Contact us via orlo.uk/8cwQI or call 101, ref 37/37327/25
