And out of them all, I think he’s the only one who will move the markets slightly across the board. There would be a bounce for Labour off the back of him. Not sure where he stands though on the key policy issues facing the country,

His first term was questionable as GM Mayor, but he is now creating a concrete legacy during his third term. Work he’s done on the Bee network etc, he’s a figure head up there who defends them. Great work during Covid.

His popularity crosses all parties as well, he won all wards in Greater Manchester. He can also distance himself from the current government/Starmer unlike any other cabinet member.

How much did the downfall of Rayner play a part in Burnham launching. Huge I think, a lot changed. I think she still plays a huge part in the Next Leader conundrum — will the likes of Streeting and others try to get her onboard? Or will she make a comeback.

Graham Stringer just now: was offered a peerage before the last election, turned it down and expects himself to stay on until the next general election, will not resign.

Asked about Burnham: doesn’t think he will get in via by-election. Would have to resign his mayoral, get on a shortlist. And no guarantee he will win by-election. He’s doing a great job as Mayor. But it’s upto him. 100% behind Powell as DL.

Regarding Starmer: Very vulnerable, last chance saloon. Not political, good intelligent DPP but not transferrable to MP. Says conversations happening with old guard Lab MPs but not sure about the new intake.

8/13 now with Star Sports Bookmakers that’s best price. Honestly think this will continue to crash. I’d have this at least 2/5 now pushing 1/3. Even if we are wrong about 2026 exit, they won’t let him go into the Next GE

Farage now at 5.3 lay price, moving quite sharply now as expected, from under 4.0. This will continue to drift. But yet no firms want to move, even after recent events.

Always found it strange all this, when US politicians go to Israel they all do it. Most of them are devout Christians, why don’t they go and visit Old Nazareth or the other large Christian areas.

Now 6/4 with firms and drifting like a barge on the machine (3.0). Is the writing on the wall? Don’t think you can ignore the money.
