GOING UPDATE for Ampton on 15th Jan: Following a few showers, the going remains GOOD TO SOFT / SOFT DOWN THE HILL. (Updated 12 Noon, Sunday 8th January). We will update again on Wednesday.

***HORSEHEATH POSTPONED*** Sadly, the course at Horseheath failed this morning’s inspection as the ground down the hill remained frozen. Given the overnight forecast, it is hoped that the meeting can be rescheduled to run next Saturday, 4th February.

***HORSEHEATH RESCHEDULED FOR SATURDAY 4th FEBRUARY***   The Cambridgeshire with Enfield Chase meeting that was called off due to the frozen ground has been rescheduled for Saturday, 4th February.  Entries will stand.  Weather looks set fair ahead.  Going updates to follow.

GOING UPDATE FROM CLERK OF THE COURSE, JOHN SHARP (Friday 3rd February): The course at Horseheath was walked this morning and remains mostly GOOD with some GOOD TO FIRM PLACES ALL UP HILL.

Entries close for Horseheath at 12:30pm today! ⏰ UPDATE: The going is GOOD TO FIRM / GOOD IN PLACES DOWN THE HILL. Rain is forecast for Thurs but if no significant rainfall arrives, all take-offs and landings will be watered. The bends have been moved and the course is level.

**AMPTON – SUNDAY 5TH MARCH POSTPONED** The very unseasonably dry weather we are currently experiencing has caused a lack of entries for the fixture. This decision has not been taken lightly and we hope it might be possible to source a new date later in the Spring.

ESSEX & SUFFOLK ON GOOD FRIDAY (April 7th) AT HIGHAM GOING UPDATE: GOOD. (Sunday 26th March – 11am) Following a very wet week, the going at Higham is GOOD throughout. The free draining soil at Higham is lapping up the current rain and should retain its good going.

Will you be joining us at Higham P2P on Good Friday? We’ve got a going update for you.. As of this afternoon (Sunday 2nd April), the course is GOOD throughout. With a mainly dry week forecast, the going is unlikely to change much but a further update will be made on Wednesday.

GOING UPDATE as of Wednesday 5th April – AM: The ground at Higham is GOOD with the home straight on the faster side of good in places. Rain is forecast overnight and tomorrow. Any further change will be made on Thursday evening.

Going update for High Easter today. Saturday 15th April – 8AM: Racing goes ahead. We have had 14mm of rain overnight and the going at High Easter is now SOFT / HEAVY IN PLACES. All plain fences and bends have been moved onto fresh ground.

Horseheath Going Update – Sunday 31st 8am: Racing goes ahead. The course received 9mm of rain overnight, the going is now SOFT all round the course. We are dry now with the forecast for a dry day and the wind has thankfully slowed.
