a star falls in your eyes a tear lands on my hand we become the space in between

there’s music but it’s far away just like everything else always somewhere I can’t reach & that’s alright maybe distance is the only thing I understand

the sink leaks I light a smoke the phone rings I don’t answer some things are better left alone

it’s hard to explain the kind of tired that sleep doesn’t fix

the world is loud but somehow i’ve become quieter

i don’t know how to exist in this space without filling it too much
