This is funny. Not hard to research some stats to learn that Fields has more time to throw than Josh Allen but takes sacks at 2.5x the rate per drop back as Allen. This has zero to do with the O Line. This is QB first, scheme second, and quality of pass catchers third.

The last two Jets head coaches were previously defensive coordinators and both hired first time O coordinators and start inexperienced/bad quarterbacks. I can’t find a single example of a defense minded head coach hiring a first time play caller and winning. Forget about that

The biggest near term risk is this current generation of emerging workers come to rely on AI to do their thinking which makes them less qualified to do a job. AI won’t replace their job, it will make them replaceable in it.

I’ve made this point before about the markets, volatility, short termism, etc …. There are only two choices: a.) don’t care, absorb the vol and put up the numbers to prove you don’t need to care or b.) study, measure, and try to understand so you can avoid or profit from it.

This is a big issue with public investing as a portfolio manager in sectors where you were never an analyst. PMs should be able to understand why someone you manage got something wrong or right, not just if they got it right or wrong. This is the biggest issue with portfolio

The best way I know to become a generalist is being a serial specialist. I know 9-10 sectors very well and I learned them one by one. Stack knowledge. Hire people to cover the things you know best and learn something new yourself. Generalists are usually value investors.

For example, I “know enough” about semis. Gavin “KNOWS” semis. I have the equivalent of an undergrad major in semis. Gavin has the equivalent of a PhD.
