genuine question: how are they going to do an english remake of possession without the backdrop of the berlin wall?

“Possession” is one of those films I’d consider should never be remade. Best way I can describe the film is that it’s a horror film about a break up/divorce with symbolism to the splitting of Germany post wwii.

These performances by Sam Neil and Isabelle Adjani have been living rent free in my head since the last 15 years. Also the free flowing cinematography with some of the best staging ever put on film and cutting only for impact, absolute fucking cinema.
