The paper by Korkhov Lab, joint with Picotti Lab and Mario Bortolozzi group (Università di Padova), out in Science Advances, describes the cryo-EM structures of Cx32 channels and reveals a molecular defect in hemichannels of CMT1X-associated Cx32 mutants. More: biol.ethz.ch/en/news-and-ev…

A bit of an update! On Thursday I successfully defended my PhD. 🥳 I am extremely grateful to all who helped me on the way and made my PhD journey in the Korkhov Lab an amazing experience. 🎉🎊

Amazing seminar on 7TM receptors today at PSI Paul Scherrer Institut by Arun K. Shukla !

Our study, led by Xinyue Ding in collaboration with Gervasio's Research Group (Protein Dynamics), exploring the molecular mechanisms of Cx36 gap junction channel inhibition by antimalarial drugs is now online👇 biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

We (Korkhov Lab) wrote a review on membrane adenylyl cyclases, what we know about their structure & structural aspects of their regulation. They are fascinating proteins, with interesting differences between the different isoforms. Read more here ⬇️ doi.org/10.1016/j.tibs…

A beautiful summary of our recent findings from the Korkhov Lab on the structure and function of membrane bound adenylyl cylases is out. A very cool class of proteins often over shadowed by GPCRs (also cool). Great colleague=great science. Good job team! sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

Our study led by Xinyue Ding, joint with Simone Aureli, Gervasio's Research Group (Protein Dynamics), and Picotti Lab, describing the structural basis of Cx36 gap junction channel inhibition by small molecule drugs, is out in Cell Discovery 👇 nature.com/articles/s4142…

Our joint study led by Basavraj khanppnavar and Oneda Leka, on the interactions between botulinum neurotoxin BoNT/A1 and its receptor SV2B, is now out in Nature Communications. This was a great collaboration with the group of Richard Kammerer (PSI Paul Scherrer Institut)! rdcu.be/d9rOL

Our investigation of lipid dependence of Cx32 gap junction channel conformations is now online on bioRxiv. Great work by Pia Lavriha, Carina Fluri and Jorge Hernández González! biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
