WOW! Congrats NASA's Juno Mission on incredible new flyby images! I'll note that I blew out the channels here and de-yellowed things to make Europa look more familiar (for me at least). FANTASTIC!!! Can't wait to see what fantastic insight comes from this! 🐳🛰️
In new work led by Hamish Hay, we find that circulation in Europa's ocean might drag along the overlying ice shell, allowing it to rotate faster than the interior. Such rotation could explain the observed surface patterns of ridges and cracks. #PI_Daily space.com/jupiter-moon-e…
We have a spacecraft! The NASA Europa Clipper avionics and propulsion modules are now united into one beautiful spacecraft that will fly to Europa! 🚀 🛰️ 💫💧 #PI_Daily
So great to grab lunch and catch up with Hamish Hay at Oxford!!! 🥰😃 Fun to get to see grad school friends - even after we’ve dispersed all over the world!
