How was your Friday? For some Plaisterers and 282 (East Ham) Air Cadets Friday May 31st was slightly different as they spent it flying high with the RAF on an air-to-air refuelling mission. An enormous thanks to all who made the day possible, especially Liveryman Phillip Foster.

Many congratulations to George Jackson Ltd who won the FIS Contractors Awards Fibrous & GRG plasterwork prize for work on the restaurant Bacchanalia, London recently. According to the judges it had a "real wow factor." Thanks to Fit-Out Sector & all they do in supporting our industry.

Recently the Plaisterers, British Gypsum, East London Career Hub & Federation of Master Builders set up stands at Marshall's Park Academy for a day of hands-on plastering & bricklaying for students to learn about various construction careers. A great initiative 👏 #plastering

The Company was very sorry and saddened by the news of the passing of The Very Revd Dr John Moses, Plaisterers’ Honorary Chaplain from 1999 to 2017, who passed away on 14 July 2024. Our thoughts are with his family at this difficult time.

The third annual Inter-Livery Pétanque Competition took place recently & the Plaisterers Team did brilliantly & came 3rd out of 32 👏 Many thanks to the Distillers for organising; to the London Pétanque Club for hosting; and also to the Vintners for supplying delicious rosé!

Last month, the Plaisterers attended a Construction Fair at Specialist Trade Courses Ltd, a construction-focused training company where students all had a go at the skilled trades represented there. Many thanks to Locker & Riley for setting up and running this event for us.
