Saying "George is innocent" and "Caiti's feelings are valid" CAN co-exist. Her feelings of regret ARE valid, while George does NOT deserve being called an abuser, or have death wished upon him.

i think george genuinely wasn't aware how uncomfortable caiti felt although i do believe he should've definitely asked for consent before touching her in any way i think its important to see that he has taken accountably for his actions and really thought she was was 21+ while

always believe victims, but also always read both stories. i think given the past, we should know that better than anyone else.

one thing i can’t understand is why her friends didn’t step in when she was with him knowing she was 18 with a ‘over 21’ wristband on, why nothing was said at the time. why she was taken to an over 21 party in the first place, how she even got in / got the wristband?

caiti and george were both drunk, not in their right minds, and were cuddling for over an hour before george moved further. if caiti’s body language was positive, it’s understandable why george made an advance on her. again they were BOTH drunk and most likely not thinking.

George I think it’s just such a tricky complicated and nuanced situation. Glad you’re considering this other perspective seriously but also important to recognise that your interpretation is valid too. Multiple truths and experiences can definitely exist.
