I finished Pride & Prejudice. I'm so emotionally detached from it that I'll make a cynical point: if I understood correctly, E only realised F was a good match when she saw Pemberley, right? (Christopher Lasch's Angry Ghost, this is an example of twitter inspired wittycism).

On a more elaborate note, this review pretty much sums up DT's weak points: his fixation on useless detail and lack of focus on the core of the stories. Those dresses are example: they always devour the actresses, etc.
