My Windows machine has booted up to this, should I be worried?

The thing that surprises me most about the whole Crowdstrike mess is that so much key infrastructure apparently runs Windows! Office desktop machines, sure. But airline backend services? Payment infra?? Hospital DBs??? What happened to the domination of Linux on the server?

I avoid ESM in my pkgs due to compat issues, and I'm still going to for a bit longer (Node 18 is not EOL yet, and this is still behind an experimental flag). That said - this is great news, and I'm very very happy to have a clear path now to an ESM world without breakage soon!
