Hello from Pilning! Last Saturday (the 7th), we broke a record here. 32 passengers in total alighted from the train here! I'm so glad to have been a part of this! 802022 takes Susie & I back to Bristol for a break, while others follow the plan. #MetrosTrainTravels

A little community railway station that had a major electrification project come along that remove their footbridge, leaving them with just one working platform in 1 direction. Absolutely disgraceful ! Still awaiting platform lights too ORR GWR

There’s now more frequent train services across the region, thanks to funding from the West of England Mayoral Combined Authority.Β Β  In 2021, trains along the Severn Beach line, which runs from Bristol Temple Meads to Severn Beach, doubled in frequency to every half an hour.

Hey Network Rail Western If you've run out of ideas for improvements, so you have to hibernate newly built infrastructure, why not bring a #Footbridge to #Pilning? It would enable more stopping trains benefiting passengers straight away!

GWR Bristol City Council West of England Mayoral Combined Authority Where this is excellent news there of course is still the elephant in the room which is Pilning Station πŸŒ»πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦ . A community station that lost its Footbridge leading to it only having one working platform and incredibly the station does not have any platform lights.

Simon Wadsworth ( @[email protected] ) We are well aware of the disgraceful situation that Pilning Station πŸŒ»πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦ find themselves in. There is a footbridge exactly like this 2 stops down at Gainsborough Central, which Pilning could have had, since GNB have a perfectly safe foot crossing and didn't need a new footbridge.
