A man is dead. After sitting in the ACJ since January - unconvicted. Suffering in a jail that is notoriously understaffed & locked down on weekends. Waiting (as SO many others do) for a bed at a treatment facility. Jails don’t help people - they kill people. This isn’t justice 💔

Murray mentions PIINPA.ORG and the Alliance For Police Accountability coalition so perhaps she is reading the statement on behalf of those orgs. PIIN has been trying to meet with Ashley Brinkman and Deputy Warden Blythe Toma but they're refusing :-/
