Business plans are vital for all businesses, fostering critical evaluation of ideas and feasibility. pigad is training MSMEs to create simplified business plans for accessing subsidized inputs. These skills will enhance their chances of accessing external financing from lenders.

🌱 Our staff is leading an interactive Training of Trainers in Hwedza! We're exploring the Hwedza Adapted Climate Change Adaptation Manual, focusing on soil management, water harvesting, and liquid manure making. Together, we are promoting sustainable agriculture! #Sustainability

Wrapping up our Training of Trainers in Hwedza, we examined sandy vs clay soils, highlighting their fertility and water holding capacity. We also showcased liquid manure—a highlight from our Hwedza Climate Change Adapted Manual! We’re cultivating knowledge for agroecology.

In Hwedza, lead farmers are diligently preparing their land for demonstration plots, embracing one of the Pfumvudza 4 principles of minimal soil disturbance. We are cultivating sustainable agricultural practices that enhance productivity and protect our precious soil. #Pfumvudza

"We are facing challenges with mulching materials; the soil is not fully covered," says Wellington Chiduku, Demo Plot holder from Ward 27, Mrewa. He's planted Red Sunhemp to enhance soil health. Effective mulching is key for moisture retention and weed control.

With a passion to preserve the natural environment and a desire for a diverse and sustainable income, some young rural entrepreneurs in Hwedza District have embarked on apiculture. They were happy to receive subsidised inputs from pigad today.
