Sometimes I get so focused on my work that I forget to step out and enjoy my own campus. Northwestern is just stunning. Here’s a quiet moment in the chapel, appreciating the stained glass.

I defended my thesis on Tuesday and officially became Dr. Gavin. Feeling very grateful to Northwestern University Physics and Astronomy, CMQT - Center for Molecular Quantum Transduction, and Stern Lab NU. I still can't believe that it's real.
