It's #FluorescenceFriday again. Today we show you Na3Y(BO3)2 doped with Pr3+ under excitation with 254 nm. Synthesized by Tom Förster
It's #FluorescenceFriday, but today we want to show you the beautiful colors of Ag nanoparticles synthesized by WE Chemie der HHU master students at Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf in the lab course. Gorengo and Tom Förster are looking forward to the next groups and their colorfull solutions.
And another aluminothermy demonstration experiment with the group Daumann Lab for the undergraduate students. This time it even works in rainy weather!🙌
For #FluorescenceFriday we show you a Pr3+ doped phosphor, which is still in the synthesizing process. But you can already see the cyan luminescence, which it should show. Made by Tom Förster
What an exciting story this has become! Big shoutout to Gülsüm Kinik from our Inorganic Photoactive Materials Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf on this one taking lead together in a collaborative effort with Ingo Widmann and the Huppertz group Universität Innsbruck @[email protected] among many others in the wonderful solid-state chemistry family!
Over the past two weeks we were delighted to host Professor Markus Suta Inorganic Photoactive Materials from Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf as our guest. Professor Suta delivered insightful lectures to our PhD students on the fundamentals of photoluminescent materials and their tailored design
Another silicone bouncy ball synthesized in the last week of our undergraduate lab course at the institute of inorganic chemistry II Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf
