Day 4 of #NPHW: 1 in 5 Americans will experience mental illness & nurses are often the first person they encounter in the health care system. Mental health is public health. Prevention, early detection, & treatment can lead to improved physical and community health.

Day 5 of #NPHW: Rural Health Rural communities are some of the most vulnerable populations to public health threats, and nurses are often on the frontlines. Day 7 of #NPHW: Nutrition & Food Access to fresh, quality, & nutritious food is the foundation to living a healthy life. Nurses in collaboration with others, can work together to ensure our communities have that access and advocate for those that do not have adequate access.
