I’m pumped about headless WP not because of security concerns, or speed concerns with WP

Also not because I don’t like PHP - I **really** like it.

I’m pumped because in my mind it’s the best of both worlds…

I get to use WP as a CMS, and I get total freedom on the frontend.

Before spending time looking into CoCart - Headless WooCommerce REST API or spending time working on a WooCommerce REST API, are there any plans from Woo Develop with Woo for a public API designed for use on external sites / headless apps?

WC REST API is for the backend, Store API for blocks...

Can you not add local images to support tickets on .org that's using the Gutenberg editor?

Sometimes a screenshot of the exact problem would help developers troubleshoot the issue much easier and quicker...

Why is there only an option for an image URL?

Another absolute gem of a plugin for Headless WP sites here guys!

Yes I could roll this myself, but this plugin is extremely well made, tons of filters, and a great working process out of the box.

Highly recommend it!

I’ve just switched my main OS to Linux from Windows for my dev environment and loving it.

Proper bash terminal and file system finally!

A big shout out to Damon Cook for jumping in on this Trac issue today and being so swift to help set up a fix.

I do really very much appreciate it! Thank you! 🫶

This Trac ticket is 7 years old and astonishingly still isn't fixed.

Using the core users endpoint to create users, doesn't currently trigger any registration emails at all.

core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/40477

3 patches suggested, no decisions made, dropped off the radar.

Very sad.

This implementation isn’t exciting at all.

Not in the list view where I’d expect it to be.

Extra clicks into the page, looks like it’s only in site/page editor

This looks clunky and extra steps for the user.

Yoast Duplicate Post it is for now then…

Am I right in saying that the wp_rest nonce is only for internal use for things like Ajax requests and not for use on the REST API for external sites?

When I send wpnonce it doesn’t work, when I sent app password or JWT token it does…

Just want to make sure Im correct or not

I don’t think I can ever forgive the person who wrote the docs for the revisions endpoint for the REST API 😅

I understand what they were trying to do but parent id I assumed to mean post parent. Not the post ID.

That’s 2 hours of my life gone 😂

Is anyone at Woo able to help me understand the payment_data array expected using the storeAPI & how I can possible find out all the information that is required for different gateways?

The example for Stripe contain no payment details... 😕

Is there no way to hook in and disable the Appearance > Patterns sub menu on the latest version of WP?

Not using a block theme. No theme.json etc.

remove_theme_support('core-block-patterns') doesn't work.

i've had to hack it away with:

unset($submenu['themes.php'][6]); 😅

I would love to see WordPress core moved to GitHub fully for issue tracking and pull requests.

As someone interested in contributing to core development, it seems a bit messy tracking tickets and issues in trac and making pull requests in GitHub.

I’d love to see it all on GH

This is a real problem for WordPress core. Ari works for Emilia and I consider him a *very* good developer. How this can happen to people like him is beyond me.

I really hope the team working on this, sit up and pay attention.

This is crazy for a valuable core contributor to get to this place.

Maybe it’s time to look at how maintainable and readable Gutenberg is…
