Our founder Dr. Bruce Damer is living proof that psychedelics can play an important role in scientific research and discovery. Bruce’s full retelling of his psychedelic-scientific journey to the origin of life is now available on Lucid News: lucid.news/a-psychedelic-…

“Psychedelics were for opening not only insight into ourselves but outsight into the world.” -Dr. Bruce Damer on Be Here Now Network, discussing an avenue of psychedelic science left behind in the 50s—for their intellectual and creative potential—and how we intend to bring this science back

If you want to quickly develop an understanding of the current state of insight research, there may be no better title than this compendium published in May. Grateful to be building on the shoulders of giants!

Our new theory of consciousness reveals meditation, psychedelics, and the future of AI in a whole new light. Suggests meditation may boost the “general” nature of intelligence. ⚡️1/60⚡️

Check out my proposal for a "New Stoned Ape Theory" that synthesizes McKenna's insights with Robin Carhart-Harris' Entropic Brain Hypothesis and modern complexity theory. The theory suggests we may be entering a new psychedelic era that represents another great leap in human

I too was disappointed with what I saw. If the phenomenon is real, it’s disappointing to not properly blind the participants That said, there were a few examples with the spellers using keyboards unassisted that were hard to explain, aside from perhaps memorization or fraud

We’ve found as AIs get smarter, they develop their own coherent value systems. For example they value lives in Pakistan > India > China > US These are not just random biases, but internally consistent values that shape their behavior, with many implications for AI alignment. 🧵

Emergence is always an orthogonal perception, u can see it only from above, a different dimension. Projection is always collective emergence from many constituents. Feedback is always feeling in present time the effect of shifting infinity. Where we cant go, speaks reality.

want to build a conscious thing? the beautiful loop now has a formal model! we call it hyper-modelling thanks Karl here’s the breakthrough (eli5) 👇

Our new paper - the first peer-reviewed brain and phenomenological examination of 5-MeO-DMT is out in Neuroscience of Consciousness . TLDR: We tested whether ‘the mount Everest’ of psychedelics could induce a complete state of consciousness deconstruction while preserving awareness. 1/n

A modern designer's job is increasingly to elevate AI's "good-enough" to something extraordinary. Taste, discernment, and that giddy excitement exploring new and meaningful aesthetic territory... that's where we need to start living.
