This is the inevitable end result of a movement that very early on decided it was fundamentally illegitimate to expect any sort of messaging discipline (or just basic human decency) and worked overtime to purge anyone who raised concerns. Now we're here, I guess.

IMO it has less to do with that and more with the fact that cooling technology is less intuitive and newer. Our brains "get" fire makes things hotter but I have looked up how a heat pump works a dozen times and still don't understand. We just assume complexity means more energy.

It's honestly a miracle of modern technology that I can travel from Philadelphia to Chicago in 2 hours for 28 dollars and it is somehow a feasible business decision

People who have a problem with SEPTA cops enforcing the laws should visit Chicago. I think I saw more cops at this one stop then are patrolling the entire Philly system.

The train I got on did have blood on the ground which I don't think I've ever seen on SEPTA so maybe there is a negative correlation here
