Hi Sainsbury's I'm getting a bit annoyed with the SmartShop app as I keep being pinged for checks (no errors are ever found). Problem is that our store only has 1 stressed assistant to deal with 10 self service terminals at 5pm so it can take up to 10-15 minutes to get checked.

We get it, Sky News and The Guardian - same initials, both wear uniforms, operate internationally, and move fast. But only one SAS was affected by the Heathrow power outage. Spoiler: it was the one with the free coffee onboard, not the one with parachutes.

On holiday in Cascais for first time in 10 years and I find the dingy Jumbo hypermarket transformed into this nicely landscaped and airy Auchan! It's taking full advantage of its seafront location. I've included a streetview of the old store for comparison. Graham Soult FIPM Bryan Roberts

#NewcastleUponTyne I wonder how many folk walk past 2 Old Eldon Square and don't realise that its only inhabitant is the draught relief shaft from the Metro - photographed on this day 7th May 2014. Aerial courtesy of Google Maps

Hi Well Pharmacy have you transferred your Old Basford Pharmacy on Bailey Street to a new owner? It’s total chaos down there with seemingly no handover from yourselves.

Hi John Lewis & Partners my daughter has a wedding list with you which people have started to use, however she was surprised by wedding presents arriving now even though the Wedding is in October. There's also no note to say who the presents are from. Is this how it's supposed to work?

Well here I am in Corfu and lo and behold a M&S! It even has a small food hall where some things like cold drinks are cheaper than in the UK. And in the current heat, it has great air conditioning 😂

Into 87 and ITV schools had to Channel 4 with this classic look and who didn't sing along to just a " minute at school"?

Poundland (occupier of many an ex-Woolworths) has been a bit lost for a while. The Perks programme was botched as it was hit and miss whether self service tills could handle it and weird refurbishment of stores where they removed half of tills leading to massive queues.

Just saw Song For Europe 1976 for the first time featuring a young Cheryl Baker 💙 with CoCo with Wake Me (quite an earworm!). I hadn't realised that they were only 2 points from beating Brotherhood of Man's Save Your Kisses For Me. CoCo would enter in 1978 youtu.be/ricCK7S3_-I?si…

Nice to see M&S is able to bring Sparks offers back, got the email this morning and thought great I can use them next weekend. But no, they're only valid for 3 days and in-store only which is a pity. Seems a bit of a missed opportunity.

Hi IKEA UK Support is there any reason why the Nottingham seems to have problems keeping the Market Hall stocked? Quite often now the freezers are completely empty - no meatballs or kladdkaka for example.

One benefit of visiting daughter in Newcastle are the Greggs Geordie goodies you can’t get in Nottingham like Bread, Stotties, Empire Biscuits and the amazing Peach Melba! Yum, yum 😋

Very interesting programme about The Plague of 1665 on Channel 5. Seeing Rob Rinder in the Plague Mask reminded me of this photo of me wearing a Plague Mask at Newark Civil War Museum back in 2017! Suspect Rob Rinder wore it better.

Really enjoying High Street Shops We've Loved And Lost on Channel 5 So much library footage of stores in the 70s and 80s. Bringing back a lot of memories!
