BREAKING: A large student driven protest against gun violence converged on San Antonio City Hall a few moments ago. The students are demanding HB 2477 be given a vote in the Texas House. The bill would raise age limits on semi-automatic rifle purchases from 18 to 21.

The students protesting against gun violence were joined by members of the San Antonio City Council, including Mayor Ron Nirenberg, Jalen McKee-Rodriguez, Mario García, @JohnCourageD9 and Councilwoman Adriana Rocha Garcia, PhD.

On Thursday, a group of students marched to San Antonio City Hall to protest gun violence and inaction on gun reform from the Texas Legislate. The march was part of a larger statewide walkout. Here’s a reel I produced for Texas Public Radio.
