It was a privilege to sign this commitment on the @GatesFoundation’s behalf. Short term, we’re working with Medicines for Malaria Venture (MMV) and MedAccess on generic manufacturing and lower-cost APIs. Long term, we’re investing in finding new antimalarials to combat resistance and #EndMalaria.
World Health Organization (WHO) announced today that Egypt is malaria-free, becoming the third country in the WHO Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean to receive this certification, after the UAE and Morocco.
