Dr. Li-Meng YAN Chapter 5 looks behind the geopolitical blame game between China and the US. How are political narratives seeded and enforced by media in the West and East? Who benefits? And what are the consequences for scientists doing impactful work on the ground? protagonist-science.com/p/lab-leak-fev…

Chapter 5 now available for free. This is probably my favorite chapter, certainly the one featuring one of the most remarkable researchers and stories I was able to collect for my book on the origin of SARS-CoV-2. If you read just one chapter of my book, let it be this one

Sabine Hossenfelder Sure, here are some things that work: 1. Present yourself as a renegade truthteller standing up to a corrupt establishment. 2. Explain that mainstream sources are lying to you, but your channel will provide the hard truths. 3. Imply nefarious forces are trying to censor you.

Conor Browne I just finished Philipp Markolin, PhD 's new book, "Lab Leak Fever," on the search for origin of SARS-CoV-2 & the controversy exacerbated by our broken information system & monetized disinformation tied to politics. Recommended read!

Live @ 12:40 PM EST today. Chatting with Brian Shapiro (Pushing The Limits @ptlradioshow.bsky.social) at 3:30 PM EST, then chatting with a lab leak/covid researcher Philipp Markolin (Philipp Markolin, PhD) afterwards. Ending at 7:30 PM EST tonight.

Philipp's work is unique in that he's taken the time to interview scientists and ask what they think. It's a strong contrast to most journalists, who write stories about lab leak by copying what other stories are saying, without doing any research or talking to anyone.

Peter Miller (@tgof137) 's Twitter Profile Photo

They are promoting a mainstream idea, believed by more than 50 percent of Americans, created and endorsed by the Trump administration, and repeated by dozens of lazy journalists trying to get a few clicks.

And the only places you can actually read the true story are small, alternative news sources, like Philipp's Substack. Or on Scott Alexander's blog: astralcodexten.com/p/practically-…

But give it a try, one Substack chapter at a time. And if someone else in the Substack crowd wants to read this and condense some of the best stuff into a book review, that might help some of us with shorter attention spans.

Had a friendly chat with Destiny | Steven Bonnell II about the lab leak narrative, where all the evidence falls, what actually happened in Wuhan, and also some of the political ripples and agitators who made this a core tennet of their agenda. You should also check out Peter's chat with him
