This is insane. The biggest concern of moving off IAP to web was the drop off in conversions. I've always felt that it was a matter of time before this gap closed. Stripe launching this shows that that is the trend things are going. Saving that 15-30% fee is juicy. More apps

In the last 30 days, a Stripe Billing customer recovered $7,418.61. On autopilot, by optimizing their failed payment recovery with Redux. Even better? Those recovered subs renewed. Driving an estimated $22,255.83 in LTV. All from one month. This is why I’m so excited about

Chalk another one up for the good guys: the Ninth Circuit upholds the district court's injunction and remedies in Epic v. Google: "These remedies and their scope are supported by the record and the nature of the market, and we uphold them along with the liability verdict and

Head of Growth: “We had 3,631 failed payments last month. $29 per subscription. So around $105K in failed revenue.” CEO: “WTF... What’s our average customer lifetime?” Head of Growth: “10 months.” CEO: “Then we’re not losing $105K. We’re losing $526K.” Head of Growth: “How?”

Heard this recently on an Acquired episode and it perfectly sums up AI today: “Make your beer taste better.” It comes from the early 1900s, when electricity had just been discovered. Some breweries saw it as a competitive edge and built their own power generators to scale

Save this. Monthly to annual churn cheatsheet: 1% → 11% 3% → 31% 5% → 46% 7% → 58% 10% → 72% 15% → 86% 20% → 93% Over 5% monthly churn means losing ~half your subscribers yearly. Prioritize recovery and retention before pouring fuel on acquisition.

Insufficient funds =/= lost customer. It’s the most recoverable error in payments. Yet most teams just give up. Here’s the fix: Retry at 9AM local time when paychecks hit. NYC → 9AM EST London → 9AM GMT Sydney → 9AM AEST Recovery isn’t luck. It’s timing.

All the ways to recover more failed payments: 1) Smarter retry logic. Layer on top of Stripe or use an AI retry engine 2) Dunning emails + sms. Don't use generic emails. Use custom emails with empathy. Send at least 4, maybe 5. Mention the error they're getting, the last 4
