When day 1 of #CityHackerSchool is over and everyone is staying: Machine Learning with understand.ai
The kids at #CityHackerSchool asked for for-loops in Microsoft MakeCode to iterate up and down in arbitrary ranges. No problem, we implemented and released an update to our MakerBit extension during the session!! Works well with TheMakerBit LED blocks.
The #MakerBit Kitchen Timer with LCD, LED, touch, and MP3 was a fun challenge at #CityHackerSchool. Thanks David Thornburg HyperDuino
#meetandcode #codeEU #coding #nonprofits #charities
We had a scientific start into our #Feiertag. We figured out that it is easily possible to build a rotary knob while experimenting with the latest TheMakerBit board and the #microbit magnetometer. #Magnectic sliders also work excellent. #kidswhocode #STEM #MINT
Oops, is my magnetic field broken? This TheMakerBit smart car follows its compass to the north. North is in the direction of the straight lines on the floor. The behavior is reproducible - it's always taking the same weird path. Is that the influence of the underfloor heating?
It's fun to control infrared devices with a micro:bit and an IR LED. The Microsoft MakeCode blocks are published at github.com/1010Technologi… and are also available as part of our official TheMakerBit extension. Would love to see what you do with IR 😍
Lisa is afraid that autonomous cars will drive down the basement stairs. Therefore she removed the ultrasonic sensor from her smart car and installed an IR receiver. Our refreshed TheMakerBit IR extension works well with the new Micro:bit Microsoft MakeCode 2020! #GirlsWhoCode
It's pink! rogerwagner surprised us with a special edition of the TheMakerBit board. Thanks for fulfilling Lisa's wish!! She's already thinking of an LED project with unicorns and princesses.
We are preparing a #meetandcode remote workshop with TheMakerBit, Microsoft MakeCode, and plenty of room for creativity.
A fully engaged group of kids made our first #CodeWeek online workshop a huge success, creating beautifully animated fire engines. Multiple Microsoft MakeCode basic.forever loops proved to be optimal for controlling the LEDs. Many thanks to #meetandcode and TheMakerBit who sponsored us
We are running an autonomous driving challenge in our family. Our TheMakerBit smart car is using an ultrasonic sensor to detect drivable space and its #microbit compass to figure out if it is stuck. Perception, planning, and execution in only #42 lines of code. 🙈
I translated the rules of ill gotten games Pocket Tactics to German. It's a fantastic 3D print-and-play strategy board game. #creativecommons philipphenkel.github.io/pocket-tactics…
