Excellent article summing up the reality of being a doctor in this country. I've had three 27h shifts in the last week. Sometimes we forget that that is just not normal in other jobs!

Watching the 60m from European Indoors bringing back memories. Hard to believe it's 14 years since I made the final in Birmingham...! Really kickstarted a few good years for me.

I think the indoors gave a lot of us a good springboard! Helped me really focus on getting my 60m times down by giving me a championships to work towards. Really beneficial come the summer when I was back running the longer distances.

What an fantastic series of runs by Israel at the Europeans. Congrats on the Irish record but more importantly on showing you can mix it with the best when it matters most!

Great run again by Israel Was worth staying up to watch it from Oz! Now he's going to be targeting a final in European indoors and then who knows....

Also have to acknowledge how significant this run was. Shows the state of Irish male sprinting at the moment that this is not the main story!

And that performance has to be up there with the best Irish team performance by any team in any sport ever. 4th in the Olympics in an event that is widely practiced in nearly every country in the world. Well done ladies, you did Ireland proud!
