At this point, anyone stating what will happen under the new tariffs is just guessing. Some are educated guesses, perhaps even highly informed and credible, but this is unchartered history. Yes, we’ve saw aggressive tariffs a century ago, but that was a different time in

All the people screaming "tariffs cause inflation" are the same people who shut down the global economy in 2020. Oil at multi-year lows right now. This is what I've been saying. Tariffs DO NOT CAUSE inflation and they never have in history. Deflation is the real worry.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent says the U.S. was headed towards a “financial calamity,” says the Trump admin is trying to help Americans getting demolished by debt. Ignore the noise. Listen to this. “I'm not happy with what's going on in the market today, but the distribution

Yes. 🎯 Demand return / major weather scare or some surprise on the geopolitical front is what is needed to awaken cotton prices

Super Safrinha in the making… 85-90% of the crop is made with these recent rains. Forecast very favorable into late April 125+ total 🇧🇷 corn crop incoming 🇺🇸 shall produce a top 5 all time crop EVEN WITH a considerable crop issue / highest all time if weather is “good”

🇨🇳: “We are going to import 96 MMTs of soybeans in 25/26” USDA: “no you’re not; you’re going to import 112 MMTs!!!” 🤦🏻‍♂️ Yet, despite this baseless assumption by the USDA, bean world stocks would still climb to a new all-time record… But hey… “the RePorT is buLLiSh!” 😉

Reaction to USDA report: “This is the highest yield we will see this year for corn and soybeans” Ok. Now look at demand; new crop demand “assumptions” are utterly outrageous and well outside the probability curve given current world pricing dynamics

CBS News warns that if we don’t stop burning ancient carbon, 25% of Florida will soon be underwater. Oh wait, silly me, this was broadcast 43 years ago.

Just listened to this episode. Outstanding work Joe and Mackenzie Especially as it pertains to why 🇧🇷 soybeans are much more competitive than 🇺🇸 beans - and it has nothing to do with tariffs… 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻 x.com/phdchicago/sta…

U.S. now produces LESS THAN HALF the amount of soybeans as South America does SA surpassed U.S. bean prod. in 02/03 & has never looked back OF NOTE: 🇧🇷 alone now EXPORTS more than double the amount of beans the 🇺🇸 exports (something I predicted 2 years ago would happen by '25)

If these estimates are correct (CASDE 🇨🇳) &🇨🇳 soybean imports fall below 100 MMTs - Chinese imports of 🇺🇸 beans could fall to 10-15 MMTs in relatively quick fashion, 2-3 yrs max 🇧🇷 will soon be shipping > 80 MMTs to 🇨🇳 A "trade deal" would delay - but not avoid this altogether
