Today was one of my first “lasts” of residency and I’m starting to feel all the feels. 😭 Where did the time GO?! This morning, I had the privilege of educating over 50 of our ED nurses on DKA. So much love & appreciation for our amazing team. ❤️ T-134 days to graduation! 😱

Just when I think I’ve hit my absolute most tired state, another one reveals itself. I got of work at 3pm, came home, showered, ate dinner, and was in BED FOR THE NIGHT by 4:30pm. Y’all.

I think I’m allergic to the state of California at this point. My allergies sat me down on Friday. Saturday, left the state, started come out of it (barely). I haven’t been back for even 12 hours and the pollen has jumped me, AGAIN. no chill 😭

My nurses have been ending each VOCERA call with, “I wish you could stay here, “I’m going to miss you,” etc and it’s really setting in that I’m about to graduate 😭

I ended PGY2 w only one additional one so objectively this year was far better than PGY1😂 I’ve officially been released from the shackles of residency! so many emotions!In all seriousness, I am so fortunate to have had the experiences I’ve had this yr both good & challenging!👏🏾

Talking to my 5 year old nephew asking him how tall he is now. His mom says he’s 4’ 6. I said, “wow! You’re making me feel short.” He said, “titi you ARE short” 😂😂
