All materials and equipment for VP8G has been packed. Total of 90KG in 2 suitcases, one large back and a backpack. Still waiting to get approval from the airline for the excess bagge.

Just today in the afternoon I got the confirmation that my two extra luggage was accepted by the airline. That is really last minute. I start traveling on Tuesday morning by car to the UK from where I will fly the next day to the Falklands.

VP8G will hit the airwaves focusing CW. Clever decision by Gerben because comparing VP8 overall most wanted (#207) is very far away from CW most wanted (#30). There is a list of CW entities in high demand on CW unlike overall most wanted - VP8, KG4, YI, AP, 3C, ST, YI, TG and OD

Both the DX Commander and Hexbeam have been assembled but due to the heavy wind, they can be erected. I have to wait until this afternoon when the wind calms down. Very bad internet here, so less messgaes

DX Commander now up and started operation. Will put the Hexbeam on the mast later this afternoon.

Both antennas are up and running now. I hope bad weather will not make trouble in the coming days

Heavy storm this afternoon. DX Commander down but no damage. Will fix it before dark. Hexbeam still doing ok but get the full blown.

Late afternoon it became sunny and the sortm slowed down. It took me 45 minutes to fix both antennas. Ready for the VP8G pil-ups again. Thanks for your patience.

The VP8G operation is going to shut down on 25 November around 12:00Z. Still time to make QSOs. On Monday I will do the last 40m CW operation (after the contest).

The weather this morning is perfect which allows to do the outside work (antennas and coax) much quicker. Therefore I may operate a little longer. Will post when finally QRT.
